Vibrant India March 9 – 25, 2016. With Sheena Singh

After arriving in Delhi on March 9th, 2016 we will travel to Rishikesh to spend a few days in the beauty and serenity of the flowing Ganges at the foothill of the Himalayas where yoga was born. A visit to an ancient cave followed by a waterfall and sitting with hindus on the banks of the Ganges participating in the ancient vedic aarti are some of the highlights in Rishikesh.  Our journey then takes us to the legendary Taj Mahal, one of the great wonders of the world, meditating in the early light of the rising sun.  A bus ride to the desert city of Jaipur will be our home for the next two nights where we will experience a ride on an elephant going up to an ancient fort and dine in one of the loveliest palaces of Jaipur. On our night in Pushkar, camel-carts will take us into the desert under a star-filled night sky where gypsies await to serenade us with their folk songs as we dance and eat with them.  We end our journey with a three night stay in the 18th century Ahilya Fort at the banks of the sacred Narbada river in Central India. We will celebrate Holi, the Festival of Colour with the Maharaja of Maheshwar, who happens to be a personal friend. After that we return to Delhi and then fly home on March 25th.  Journey with us on this trip of a lifetime and be surprised and amazed by this magical and mysterious land.
